The Magic of a Healthy Body.

When one says lead a healthy lifestyle, it doesn’t necessarily mean you should become slim or too skinny. Appreciate your body in healthy ways. If you don’t see your inner beauty and accept who you are on the outside, you will be struggling with your own body. People will body shame or bully you. Humans are critics and insatiable by nature. Don’t be ashamed of your body, instead work it to suit you and only you. You are the only one who gives yourself happiness, if you are not content with your appearance, nobody will make you appreciate it except you.

Others might make you want to disappear into something you are not. You might become ashamed and depressed about yourself. In desperation to find solutions to have an hourglass body, you end up doing lots of things, thereby causing more trouble for yourself.

The earlier you are grateful for yourself, no matter how you look on the outside, the happier you will become. When you learn to be thankful for your outer self, then work towards it to be healthier and fit.

How can you be healthy in your own body?
Here are a few tips to healthy living:-

Eat healthily

Try to make balanced meals, i.e., containing the 6 classes of food with more vegetables and fruits. Plan your meals in advance, so that you don’t get hungry before eating. Have a habit of eating healthy snacks such as fruits and avoiding storing junk foods, so you cannot have them.

Drink plenty of water


Develop a habit of consuming plenty of fluid daily. Use a water bottle that can help you keep count of your consumption. You can also flavour your water by adding lemon, cucumber, or strawberry to it. Drink about 2 to 3 litres of water daily. Water helps to keep you hydrated and regulate your body weight.

Reduce salt and sugar intake


Too much salt and sugar consumption can lead to weight gain and increase health risks such as diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and high blood pressure.

Have discipline

Having discipline means you have control of what you eat, drink, and sleep patterns. Portion control meals, eat small meals using small bowls or plates and avoid skipping your first meal. If you ignore your breakfast, you tend to get hungry and consume more food. Don’t avoid your cravings, as you will crave it more than eat less of your desires.

Get plenty of rest


Sleep deprivation can significantly affect your weight. Get enough sleep every night. Reduce your screen time an hour before you go to bed. This is quite challenging for me as well, I tend to watch movies, and I end up staying awake rather than sleeping.

Reduce stress


Reduce stress by doing tasks one at a time. Distract yourself from worries and anxiety by engaging in activities that make you feel happy. You can also practice yoga and listen to relaxing music, this can help you calm your body and relax.

Be active


Engage in physical activities such as walks, running, swimming, skipping, cycling, and dancing.

Detoxify your body


Take some natural or organic products that help to cleanse the body from toxins. Organic products like lemon, grapefruit, ginger, garlic, herbal teas, etc. can help detoxify your body.

Keep track of your progress.


Have a book or diary where you record your progress, this will motivate you in doing more until you reach your target goal. It will also keep track of your healthy lifestyle journey. Every little progress you make is progress. Keep striving, and never give up!

Reduce alcohol consumption and smoking habits


Excessive alcohol consumption or misuse can be very harmful to the body. It damages all the vital organs in the body with time. Smoking also does no good to health, if you are smoking, try quitting by gradually cutting down the quantity you smoke in a day. You can also get help from experts who can advise you on how to quit smoking.

Have a positive attitude


Have an ‘I can do’ attitude, believe in yourself. Appreciate every little effort you make towards your goal. Once in a while, treat yourself to a nice meal, to applaud yourself for the excellent work. It might take time to reach your target goal, but determination and consistency will go a long way in leading a healthy lifestyle.

Being healthy is a choice, make the right choice and take charge of your life, and be conscious of small changes that can make you healthier. Have good friends and family who support you.
